Milan vs Juventus 0-1 : I am happy!

Dear juventini friends I confess to you that I'm glad that Juventus lost to Milan with a non-existent penalty whistled against us.

As a sporty I did not even find hard to admit that the dynamics of the field, one experienced in real time, left no space for any doubt. The penalty was clear. The hand ball by Isla seemed evident.

First Comment

"Rizzoli you did good, you made the right decision!"

Two minutes later, however, here is the inexorable judgment of the cameras, the ball touches the back and not the arm.

Milan vs Juventus Isla
Milan-Juventus Isla
At that moment I was pissed off with the referee ... two seconds later I was pissed off with Isla. How can someone intervene like that in the penalty area?!

The mistake of the referee for me is not even comparable in severity to the wrong intervention of Juventus wing-back.

And then let us tell the whole truth, at least for this week opposing fans will avoid call us "thieves"!

Calciopoli has left on us an indelible stain that hardly we can eliminate so that we can compare serenely with fans of all other teams in Italy.
Since Calciopoli here it is common practice to think in this way: if a referee fails to Juventus this is a classic mistake (referees are human), if wrong in our favor people shout that there is a conspiracy!

So these errors against us are welcome, we are so much stronger than our opponents and Juventus will win the title anyway!

Milan-Juventus: Probable Lineups

Missing a few hours before the start of Milan v Juventus and Antonio Conte seems to be determined to confirm the men who beat Chelsea except for Chiellini, remained in Turin due to a hardening of the calf, and Lichtsteiner. These latter two should be replaced by Caceres and Isla.

The coach has still decided to rely on Vucinic-Quagliarella in attack...unless Giovinco not make him change his mind during the training session this morning.

Would you have made these choices too?

I probably would have given a chance to Bendtner to take advantage of his physical strength, since in Milan there would be no skillful players in countering him.
What do you think about this?

Memories: Zinedine Zidane

This morning, while I was talking with my best friend, jumps out on Facebook a picture of Zinedine Zidane photographed, after Juventus-Chelsea,  in a famous Lounge Bar of Turin.

In a while my mind fills up with beautiful memories!

I confess to you that sin: I have not seen Zidane in action for a while time...

And so, seized by a strong desire to see him, I run to look for Zidane video on YouTube...

I find this video (among other things has one of my favorite songs as a soundtrack) and I want to share it with you!

Zidane is the greatest expression of football as an art form...movements that seem to emit classical music...for me is "the most elegant player" in the football history!

In your opinion?

Milan vs Juventus Time!

Milan-Juventus is never a challenge like the other. Will confront at the San Siro Stadium (La fossa dei Leoni - The Lions' Den) the two teams more title holders of the Italian Serie A. Of course this match will not have the same value as that of the last season (they played to win the League), but still remains a game lot so felt by fans.

How comes Juventus to the match?

As God!
After the slap received by Inter we have only seen good performance by Juventus, last the net win for 3-0 against Chelsea.
So much is fear that the team may be affected physically after a midweek round so intense and lived with passion, but I think that the extra boost of confidence in their own ability and greater adrenaline in the body, after a superb victory, can compensate for some lack of physical energy!

How comes Milan to the match?

Wednesday has reached the arithmetic qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League beatingin 3-1, in Belgium, Anderlecht. The last match in the Serie A for Rossoneri was against Naples, at the San Paolo where Allegri's men have succeeded in bring home a precious draw (2-2).
This suggests that Milan is growing fast, at least in the results, compared to the past few weeks but...against Anderlecht, for those who have not seen the game and know only the result, Milan played very badly, has risked several times to undergo a goal in the first-half , and it even suffered when it was at 2-1 and was playing in 11 versus 10!

What can worry me about Milan?

Honestly: nothing about tactical and technical level.
However, could be dangerous the agonistic charge that this type of games transmit to most important players as El Shaarawy, Robinho, Boateng and Montolivo.
For the Bianconeri this game is important, for the Rossoneri is life! A defeat against Juventus would throw them back into the abyss and then...

How to win the game?

This time "men-wings" (Asamoah and Lichtesteiner) will be even more important and decisive than against Chelsea. Allegri often changes players on the wings without offering any solutions of quality.
To exploit are certainly the situations of  high balls. They, beyond the two central defense and Pazzini (if he plays), have no one to counter our physical dominance.

Who'd I steal to Milan?

El Shaarawy.

If I was Conte...

3-5-2 (defensive phase) / 3-3-4 (offensive phase)
Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah; Vucinic, Giovinco;

Juve-Land: 3-0 against Chelsea!

Juventus-Chelsea
Juventus-Chelsea

There is a new big among the major European Team: Juventus!

The result of 3-0, in the match against Chelsea, certifies the supremacy of Juventus and allows us to be in a favorable condition for reaching the knockout round in the Champions League.

The match was as beautiful as difficult for Juventus. From the first minute of the game became clear that Bianconeri should not miss even one passage in attack, every mistake could turn into a possible chance on goal for ChelseaMata, Hazard and Oscar are so much stuff in Blues attack.

After only 3 minutes Juventus went close to score with Lichtsteiner who hit the post on a cross from Vucinic. Bianconeri find space on the wings constantly and often try to play central with Vucinic who is always able to free himself between the lines. Chelsea suffer, closes all in defense, gives some goal action to Juventus, but for three times is close to scoring with masterful counterattack. The first time with Hazard, then with Mata and Oscar. On the first occasion Buffon is exalted with a parade like a true Champion.

Juventus is not afraid of Chelsea, with greater frequency continues to carry in attack 4/5 players and the goal is not long in coming. Pirlo shoots towards the goal from long range, Quagliarella deviates and the ball rolls into the goal under the gaze of the impotent Cech! We're at 38' minutes! Juventus 1 - Chelsea 0!!!

In the second half the roles are inverted, Chelsea tries to find the goal of equal but without creating special hazards to the perfect Juventus defense. Instead Conte-men are lethal on the counterattack. With a masterful action conducted before by Asamoah and Vucinic and then finalized by Vidal, Juventus find the goal of 2-0!! The chances continue to increase, sensational is Vucinic one in which the Montenegrin on a Caceres cross shoots up at few steps from the goal. A desperate Di Matteo rushes into the fray Torres but is Juventus to find the goal of 3-0 with Giovinco!!!

Juventus was so adept at leading the game as to suffer in some moments Chelsea counterattacks. Bianconeri were always rational and have shown a maturity and a compactness which project them, of law, among the first Europen Team!

The decisive moment!
The parade of Buffon on the close range conclusion of Hazard.

The better players:
Asamoah and Lichtsteiner. Forwards added!

It's your turn!
Leave a comment for this magic match of Juventus!

Juventus-Chelsea: you live it!

Has arrived the proof of maturity for Conte's men. Juventus-Chelsea is the game that you wait with anxiety and live with passion.
Shout, suffer, exult, run, talk on TV giving directions as if you were on the bench, shooting, score... you live it!

In Turin, precisely at the Juventus Stadium, arrive Blues of Di Matteo. Chelsea is not in the best shape. Aside from the victory against Shakhtar in the last 4 games in the Premier has collected 2 draws and as many defeats.

Mirko Vucinic Juventus-Chelsea
Mirko Vucinic

The "italian of London", however, are ready to sell his life dearly to snatch the draw against the Bianconeri that would put them in the position of certain qualification seen last challenge against Nordsjaelland at Stamford Bridge.

I call them "italian of  London" because, at this moment, they are the best to be inspired by the idea of football that has always been associated to Italy.

Chelsea Made in Italy - Catenaccio all'italiana!

In many criticize this way of playing, just read the latest statements of Pirlo, some even claim that this is not football! Let them these disputes, soccer or not soccer, this way of playing over the years has preserved its effectiveness, and perhaps it is also a bit evolved using in the median players good not only to retrieve balls but also good to restart quickly the action.

This seems to be a suitable match for the Chelsea game. Juventus all in attack trying to score and Chelsea all in defense ready to counterattck. Di Matteo is even ready to sacrifice Torres in favor of Srurridge, a striker-midfielder adept at turn the module into a 4-6-0 in defense and in a 4-2-3-1 in attack..

Juventus must therefore be very careful to move the ball cleanly. For example, by analyzing the match against Lazio, Juventus often, all on offense, allowed a two-on-two defense that not has caused damage only because Biancocelesti have not had the strength to counterattack effectively, but Chelsea...

How to fix the game?

It may seem trivial and obvious, but the game could be resolved with a goal in the first 20-30 minutes. If it does not arrive Juventus will be good to attack with rationality, without the frenzy to score!

From whom I expect more?

Pirlo & Vidal & Marchisio will have to be masters of the field, skilled at trying to score and aggressive  in defensive closures!

We will win!

It's your turn!
Do you think it will be a game fought or are you expecting a Juventus already invasive in the first half?  Who do you think will be important?  Do you prefer will be Torres or Sturridge?

Chiellini 7 : He was the usual fighter even though at times he was a little messy.

Isla 7 : He often put in crisis Lazio defense with his assists.

Asamoah 5,5 : I am sorry to be a little hard on him but all his actions have been a remake: he easily dribbles past the opponet and then he fails to make a good cross!

Vidal 7 : He played the umpteenth match as a leader.

Pogba 6,5 : His task was not to replace Pirlo, who is irreplaceable, but playing exalting his characteristics, unfortunately he did that piecewise!

Marchisio 6,5 : He played a little less balls than Vidal but he more dedicated himself to the defense.

Giovinco 6,5 : He did as always a lot of movement, in the first half he has been the author of world class plays but he went off with the passage of minutes.

Juventus-Lazio comes after friendly matches of National Teams and before Juventus-Chelsea, the most important game of the season. The choice of the starting lineup for Juventus-Lazio is for Conte an hard work!

Antonio Conte is at a crossroads: Make turnover or not?

I consulted the three major Italian sports newspaper and the doubts about who will be part of the lineup for Juventus-Lazio are still many.
Doubts are on Barzagli, Lichtsteiner, Asamoah, Marchisio and Quagliarella that they can leave their place in the starting lineup respectively to Caceres, Isla, De Ceglie, Giaccherini and Matri.

To underline the call after a lot of months of Simone Pepe!

This is the week of Huntelaar&Kolarov!

In Italy every week is for one or two new future Juventus player/s!

The last week was for Llorente. Italian journalists said that at 90% he will be the new Juventus striker in June. Unfortunately yesterday the last news reported about a small rapprochement between Llorente and Athletic.
Now it's a problem. How should we do?
Simple! Back in vogue Huntelaar and Kolarov!

    Juventus-Huntelaar
    <Juve is on the hunt> - Tuttosport

My idea is always the same! Only three players on the market can improve Juventus attack:

    1)Falcao
    2)Cavani
    3)Jovetic

Of course Falcao and Cavani are not affordable for Juventus due to high costs, but Jovetic...
In Italy nobody talks about Jovetic after the Berbatov case that has worsened relations between Juve and Fiorentina, but JoJo is the right player chosen from Antonio Conte to create a spectacular Juventus.

    Time will tell!

    11/12/2012

Buffon : "Benzema is a phenomenon!"

Before the friendly match between Italy and France, Buffon was interviewed by a reporter from a famous French newspaper, Le Parisien.

    Buffon - Benzema

These were his words: "I love how they play (Ribery and Benzema), but they are able to do even better. In my opinion they have the qualities and the potential to reach the level of Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo".

Surely now the French will love you, but you have emphasized a bit the qualities of Ribery and Benzema.
No doubt they are good players, but Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are currently unreachable!

    11/11/2012

    Juventus: Llorente free in June!

Llorente free in June, is El Correo, a Basque newspaper, to break the news!

    Llorente - Juventus

Llorente is expected to sign a four-year contract by 5 million euro net per season plus a bonus of one-two million euro at the time of signature.

Now these are just rumors also because Llorente, according to UEFA regulations, can not negotiate with any club until February, but if these should be confirmed not make me particularly happy.

I think he is not suitable to the Conte's style of game. Llorente is not very keen to play his back to goal and create space and scoring chances for the midfielders. He is a striker of penalty box, he is a raptor as Trezeguet or Inzaghi to be clear.

Do you think he is the right striker for Juventus?

    After the drunkenness of goals...

Pescara-Juventus was the match where everything went in the right way.

    Quagliarella Pescara-Juventus

Juventus players seemed "robots": Target identified. Aim lower right corner of Perin. Fire...Goal!

After the bad defeat against Inter is back Juventus who made us excite in the last season. Before the game against the hated Nerazzuri Juventus had almost always won but not wowed.
    I obsessed myself asking why:
    "be the module to change?"
    "3-5-2 or 4-3-3?"
    "4-3-1-2 or 4-4-2?"
    "or...4-1-4-1???"
"are they tired?...perhaps playing every three days can not keep high rhythms"

Instead thing that served to them was just a ...DEFEAT!

You've got it right: a defeat!

Seeing the reaction of the players on the field and reading their interviews, I realized that they had lost the hunger for victories that  made them invincible!

It is evident how the modules, the numbers without the right mentality  have no value!

    Welcome back boys...

    Pescara-Juventus 1-6

    Pescara-Juventus Quagliarella

Buffon 5,5 : Not a great night for him. He had not much work and in the few times he has been called into action was not the usual Buffon. Imprecise!

Barzagli 6 : Although sufficient perhaps it has been his worst game since the beginning of season.

Bonucci 5,5 : Lost Cascione on the occasion of the goal of Pescara.

Chiellini 6,5 : The best of the three defenders. He did not lose any contrast against Abbruscato and Jonathas.

Isla 5,5 : An assist for Quags and then nothing more. Often alien to the game he has been forgotten by Pirlo.

Asamoah 7 : His goal was amazing, but also tonight he has not had the assist for his team-mates.

Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio 8,5 : The strongest midfield in the world!

Giovinco 8 : This was his best game of the season. Goal, Assist and a lot of movement!

    Pescara-Juventus: Probable Line-Ups

Just a few hours of waiting at the kick-off of Pescara-Juventus.

The lineups seem decided. The only doubt for Juventus is the tandemd of attack: Giovinco-Quagliarella or Vucinic-Quagliarella? That is the question!

The only certainty seems to be Quags, while it is running in two for Giovinco and Vucinic. In the last hours the chances of Giovinco appear to be growing.

    Baby Juventus

Today Tuttosport has summarized as follows all young players belonging to Juventus on loan to other teams.

    Baby Juventus - Tuttosport

In your opinion, among these who will be a future star?

    Juventus Mid-Goals

Reading Tuttosport I found a statistical analysis on how the strongest team in Europe score their goals.

Statistic Analysis of Goals - Tuttosport

The table shows in the first column the total number of goals scored by each team and then continuing to read on to the right how many of these were made by the defenders, the midfielders and the strikers.

The numbers show how the midfield of Juventus is the most prolific of the big European teams.

Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio and the other Juventus midfielders have scored 15 goals in 15 matches, almost 50% of total score.

The only European team who has scored 15 goals with midfielders is Bayern Monaco, thanks to Bastian Schweinsteiger and Toni Kroos (6 goals each so far).

Of course this is a matter on which to reflect. What do you think about this?

    Paul Pogba: my new roommate!

Matri 7 : Many, many movements but...always missing a goal! We all have believe in you, you are our Bomber! Unlucky...

Quagliarella 7,5 : The striker who scored more than others, but that is always on the bench. He earned a place in the starting line-up for the next game. Good Quags!

    Juventus-Nordsjaelland 4-0 (Video Goals)

Juventus-Nordsjaelland 4-0 is one of those few matches in which the result, although large, says little about the dominance of one team over the other. Juventus was the only team in the field.

    Statistics Juventus-Nordsjaelland

After three years of waiting, this evening, Juventus came back to the victory in Champions League.
Since the first minute Juventus showed all its full force. Juve took the lead at 6' with the goal of Marchisio, after creates a lot of scoring chances until Vidal made the goal of 2-0 (23'). At 37' of first half on time Juventus already was on 3-0 (Giovinco) and at 75' the game was already finish, 4-0 made by Quagliarella.

Nordsjaelland was non-existent, made the first and last shot on goal at 63'.

A perfect evening for Juventus marred only by the goals of Chelsea at 94' (Moses) against Shakhtar.

Now to continue the journey in the Champions League Juventus must do 4 points. Whereas the other two opponents will respectively made three points against Nordsjaelland, Bianconeri will at least win one of the two remaining matches and tie the other.

    Juventus-Nordsjaelland lineups

This is the day of Juventus-Nordsjaelland.

After the recent not brilliant performance of Juventus, all of us thought about of a change of module or at least a change of players that usually are part of the standard lineup, instead Antonio Conte surprised everyone.

The last rumors talk about this lineups:

    Juventus-Nordsjaelland lineups

    3-5-2

    Buffon

    Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini

    Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah

    Matri, Giovinco

If I have to be honest I was hoping for 4-3-3. Nordsjaelland in the first leg has proved to be a mediocre team, it always had 11 players behind the line of the ball and thought only to defend.

So in a game where Juventus is only interested in victory and in do many goals as possible, maintain fix 3 players in defense to counter only one danish striker it seems to me to be a waste.

After saying this I confirm my full confidence in the work of our coach Antonio Conte and I hope to celebrate the first goal of Alessandro Matri ("MitraMatri") in Champions League.

Alessio eyes return to winning ways

Angelo Alessio has reiterated the Bianconeri’s mission statement for tomorrow’s decisive encounter with Danish champions Nordsjaelland. The 47-year-old is aware that Juventus can afford no further slip ups if they are to get their Champions League campaign back on track in front of a passionate crowd at Juventus Stadium on Wednesday night. With future progress also hinging on the outcome of upcoming meetings with Chelsea and Shakhtar, Alessio appreciates the time has arrived for the Bianconeri to chalk up their first European victory of the season.  Speaking from a pre-match press conference at Juventus Center, Alessio said: “We understand the importance of this game. It’s an encounter to be won at all costs. In order to do this we need to be determined and hungry to get the result. We’re aiming to progress in the Champions League and get through to the last-sixteen."

“But we also acknowledge that we’re still developing as a side. Let’s not forget where we started out and the fact that we have many players experiencing this competition for the first time. The words of expert coaches like Mancini and Ancelotti make you realise that it can take a number of years to be ready to win such an important trophy.”

    Angelo Alessio-Juventus Coach

When questioned about tomorrow’s potential starting line-up, Alessio disclosed that Alessandro Matri will be handed the opportunity to impress after a recent spell on the substitutes bench. “Matri will start tomorrow and will be partnered by either Quagliarella or Giovinco. Conte’s made that decision because he believes Alessandro is ideal for this game. Vucinic? We’ll hope to have him back for Pescara. However, we’re happy with our strikers and believe in the quality they possess.”

The recent war of words surrounding last Saturday’s home defeat to Inter shows no signs of abating, with Alessio taking the opportunity to provide his view on the conduct of those in the Nerazzurri camp. “Last year, when we won in Milan, none of us complained about the penalty that wasn’t awarded for a foul on Marchisio or the failure to send Castellazzi off. Looking at Inter, let’s recall the penalty that Catania weren’t given and the goal they scored against Sampdoria when Nagatomo was in an offside position."

“I think it’s too easy to have a go at referees. As far as I’m concerned they should always be defended and not just when incidents go in your favour. Unfortunately, referees can’t quietly go about their duties in this environment. If we let them get on with their job we’d all reap the benefits.”

    Bonucci: “Win at all costs”

Leonardo Bonucci has called on his team-mates to put Saturday's Inter defeat behind them by delivering a typical Bianconeri performance in Wednesday night’s crunch Champions League Group E clash with Nordsjaelland at Juventus Stadium.

Speaking to reporters in Vinovo, Bonucci said: “We’ll take to the field tomorrow night with the desire to get back to being the team that beat everyone and always imposed its own style of play.” After drawing their first three European encounters of the campaign, Bonucci knows that a win is paramount if Juventus are to keep their Champions League hopes alive. “It’s a game that needs to be won, just like all the others we face. Coming into the clash on the back of three draws means it’s the only objective we’re aiming for."

    Bonucci Juventus-Nordsjaelland

“Failure to win would place us in the Europa League or even see us go out of Europe altogether, so we’ll take to the field with the goal of making it through to the last-sixteen. “Not qualifying could also have an impact on the rest of our season, but let’s not forget that a year and a half ago we had just started out on our journey and since then we've won the league, Italian Super Cup and made it through to the Coppa Italia final.”

The 25-year-old, who earned rave reviews for his strong Euro 2012 performances with Italy, attempted to shed some light on the reasons behind Saturday night’s home reverse to the Nerazzurri. “After putting in a true Juventus performance during the first twenty minutes, we then retreated in defence and midfield and no longer ran like we did at the start. “We were also punished by certain incidents. When they scored their second we lost the ball in midfield when we were open. These are exactly the type of situations we need to work on.”

Juventus-Nordsjaelland: the most important game of the season!

Juventus-Nordsjaelland is the most important game of the season! Winning is the only way to continue to believe in the dream called Champions.
Juventus comes to the game against Nordsjaelland not in the best condition: the heavy defeat against Inter Milan ended a run of 49 matches without defeat and showed like Juventus did not play a brilliant football a month already; our best striker, Vucinic, is out and the Juventus who last year made us enjoy with his sparkling play now seems a distant relative.
But as the title of a song by Billy Ocean recited: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going", so that the appointment with the Nordsjaelland can turn into the perfect evening.

    Juventus-Nordsjaelland

Italian critics rages more and more with the strikers of Juventus, the major sports newspapers every day evoke a new top player for Juventus attack, but they have not yet understood that any striker who will be playing for Juventus coached by Antonio Conte will not mark never ever 20-25 goals in a season. Why?
Because the movements that Antonio Conte asks his strikers are those of open spaces to facilitate insertion of midfielders in the penalty area, so they are often back to goal, or are in midfield to receive balls. In short, most of the times they are not put into conditions for easily make goals. But what interests substantially to our coach is that the team make goal and not the player who makes goals.
So that before each game we ask ourselves "What will be the tandem of attack?"
For the match against Nordsjaelland, Antonio Conte seems to have chosen Bendtner-Quagliarella.
Most probably the formation of Juventus will be:

    3-5-2

    Buffon

    Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini

    Isla, Pogba, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah

    Bendtner, Quagliarella
